Returning to Italy for Milan Design Week has been a deeply inspiring experience. This year, amidst the myriad of exhibitions and installations, one experience resonated profoundly with me: L’Appartamento by Artemest.

Immersing in the Essence of Italian Craftsmanship

Located in the historic Palazzo Donizetti on Via Gaetano Donizetti 48, L’Appartamento is Artemest’s third iteration of this unique showcase. Each room within the apartment was transformed by renowned international designers, creating a harmonious blend of contemporary design and traditional Italian craftsmanship.

Guided by Florence Vachey, Key Account Manager at Artemest, I embarked on a journey through each meticulously curated space. Her narratives about the designers and their inspirations brought each room to life, allowing me to experience the spaces not just visually, but emotionally.

The Sling Chair: A Testament to Artisanal Excellence

Among the exquisite pieces, the Sling Chair in the Reading Room/Studio captivated me. Designed exclusively by Aljoaib for Artemest, this chair epitomizes artisanal excellence. Its minimalist silhouette, complemented by marble armrests and a leather sling, showcases a perfect balance of form and function.

L’Appartamento was more than an exhibition; it was an immersive narrative of design, heritage, and passion. Each room told a story, each piece carried its own narrative, and together, they created a compelling portrait of timeless design and thoughtful craftsmanship.
