During my visit at the Louisiana Museum I discovered Atelier LUMA, an independent studio at the LUMA Arles arts centre in the South of France.
The studio creates materials, designs and architecture using local resources and produces them in ways that strengthen the region’s ecosystem and social infrastructure. Their own studio in Arles is built entirely out of materials from the region.
Atelier LUMA have also developed a four-phase method for working with undervalued natural materials: to find, connect, engage and share.
